I Take Ursodiol And Ocaliva. I Wondered If Anyone Has Had Bloating In Their Stomach…is It A Symptom Of PBC Or Side Effect Of Ocaliva?
Is Anyone On Ocaliva "only" Treatment? Unable To Tolerate Ursodiol. Would Love To Hear Your Experience Of Ocaliva "only" Treatment.
My diagnosis is PBC. Interested in learning side effects, the good and bad, etc. of Ocaliva from your experience. Also, improvements you have experienced and the time frame before you experienced improvements. Whatever you are able to share is welcome and appreciated.
Is Anyone Taking Ocaliva Along With Ursodiol? My Current Gastroenterologist Wants Me To Add This As My ALP Is Rising Slightly.
I was diagnosed in 2003 and have been stable at stage 1-2 since then. My ALT and AST are slightly elevated but stable. My ALP is what Dr. is worried about even though it is 167. I take 900 mg per day of Ursodiol. I am worried about adding another medication with unknown side affects and efficacy. I have no real symptoms right now other than some fatigue and occasional mild itching. My last test showed little to no liver scarring/damage

At a PBC meeting i learned it does not stop PBC from progressing. And yes its on its way out at this point although its still in court.
