I think I had read when it first came out was that it was recommended for people with PBC not in advanced stages only early. That must be why. I believe it hasn't had a lot of testing. That they approved it quickly to try and help people with PBC in early stages that are not tolerating URSODIOL or URSODIOL alone is not working. What I have read, a doctor should not be subscribing to advanced cases. Don't know about pulling off the market.
At a PBC meeting i learned it does not stop PBC from progressing. And yes its on its way out at this point although its still in court.
