Sheila, i had researched this as my cholesterol was high as well. I found Fenofibrate and asked my gastroenterologist for a prescription. My cholesterol is fantastic now and numbers for my liver went from over a thousand to 265. But its something to discuss with your doctor.

Mine was also high I’m on Rosuvastatin 10mg once a day. It has worked very well for me.

My cholesterol was at 9+ so I was prescribed statins. After a few months it’s still quite high at 5 but going in the right direction. I also take Bezafibrate to help lower my ALP but is also used to lower Cholestral. I’m hoping to come off the statin once my levels are ok but not sure if I’ll be able to. I believe that PBC and Cholestral are quite common together though.

My cholesterol was high before being diagnosed with PBC. I was on medication for it but then was taken off. I still don't know why. I wonder if researchers have ever considered high cholesterol as a marker for PBC.
