Has Anyone Tried Using Artificial Tears For Dry Eyes? Did It Help?
Hi Holly, I’ve had dry eyes for probably 10+ years…well before I was ever diagnosed with PBC. I was prescribed Restasis eye drops which I used 2x daily. They work very well. In between doses of Restasis, my eye doctor told me I could use Bausch and Lomb Soothe XP if needed. That does the trick! During allergy season, I also use the Ocusoft Lid Scrubs Plus…those really help keep my dry eyes in check. They are easy and convenient to take with you wherever you go. I always carry a couple in my purse. I hope this helps!
Yes, I use Refresh Optive Mega-3. It is preservative-free. They come in vials. Just make sure that, once opened, use within 24 hours. I used one vial in two doses per day. I also use Ocusoft Lid Scrub Plus for cleansing and moisturizing eyelids. Both items suggested by my eye doctor and I order both from Amazon.
Yes. The dr told me the refresh brand. The ones with no preservatives.
Yes I use Systane Ultra during the day works better for me then Refresh and then I use the ointment at night it helps the most.
I haven’t tried them. But it’s going on the list to pick up.
My Dr told me to get a name brand and not store brand.
