Pain under the right rib cage can be a common symptom for people with Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC). This pain is often related to the liver, which is located in the upper right part of the abdomen. Here are some possible causes and tips to manage this pain:

- Liver Pain: PBC can cause liver inflammation and fibrosis, leading to discomfort or pain in this area.
- Enlarged Spleen: Pain in the upper left part of the abdomen may be due to an enlarged spleen, a condition known as splenomegaly, which can be caused by portal hypertension.
- Portal Hypertension: This condition can lead to complications like ascites (fluid buildup in the abdomen) and varices (enlarged veins in the gastrointestinal tract), both of which can cause abdominal pain.

Management Tips:
- Massages: Gentle massages can help move excess fluid away from the affected areas and relieve pain.
- Dietary Changes: Limiting sodium intake can help reduce fluid retention and associated pain.
- Compression Garments: Wearing compression stockings can prevent fluid buildup and reduce swelling.

If the pain persists or worsens, it's important to consult with a healthcare provider for a thorough evaluation and appropriate management.
