I struggle with my weight and have pretty high inflammation markers. I was able to loose weight and help with joint pain by limiting sugars and white flours. I basically try to eat low carb. Not sure that it is necessarily what helps PBC, but It helped me lose 93 lbs which in turn made my joints feel less achy. Not that I drank alcohol more than a few times a year, but I no longer drink alcohol at all. I think eating whole fresh foods and staying away from highly processed foods is good no matter what you are dealing with.

I eat chicken and turkey breast, no fatty meats. I avoid white breads and potatoes. I don't eat fried food or drink alcohol. I eat fresh fruit, salads, and roasted vegetables. I allow myself an occasional sweet treat.

Food and exercise is so important. I eat 80 grams of low-fat protein which helps with fatigue and feeling like you might be getting a bug. Fruit, vegetables, grains , brown rice. I don’t salt my food. Low fat and sugar. I eat organic. 4 to 5 small meals a day. I made a bag of unsalted nuts to snack on. No alcohol or Advil and Tylenol. No white bread or white rice. No processed meats or Pre packaged meals.
There are books that teach how to eat for PBC.

I’ve been reducing total fat and saturated fat intake. It seems to be helping a lot!!!
