You’re not alone. PBC prematurely ages and the skin becomes thinner. I have bruising as well alone with easily tearing skin. Most times i have no idea how i did it

My skin looks old and thin, it does tear easily, it also itches if I get even the slightest scratch. My nails are ridged and break easily if I touch things with the nails, I constantly cut and file them down to try and prevent the tearing and splitting.

I’m glad someone finally told you this CAN be related to PBC in SOOOO many ways!! Remember too that our livers can’t absorb vitamins and minerals well and pBC can make your skin dry n crack and thin, like for example some PBCers get cracking and or brittle fingernails. So it could be something PBC related in that sense.

I always bruise easily. It also seems like it take forever for a bruise to go away.
