I too had problems staying asleep, waking up after three hours and not being able to go back to sleep. But once I started on the ursodiol I found I could sleep a bit longer. Now I make sleep a priority and have found when I don't sleep well I need to look at my daily behaviors - such as exercise and water intake. While I feel fatigued, I need to walk. It really helps me to feel better. Just a short walk around the block makes a big difference. Also, water intake is a game changer - IDK maybe it helps move the sludge in my bile duct better.

Thank you Toni✨! My hepatologist wants to do a liver biopsy before starting me on ursodiol, so I'll wait and see. I drink a lot of water too, because of my other gi problems.

I have trouble falling asleep intially. The doctor gave me a sleeping pill but, it doesn’t seem to help. During the day I can fall asleep any time except in a moving car or if there’s a lot of noise.At bedtime it’s a whole different story. I’m also on a CPAP machine.

I fall asleep but then I am up 3 or 4 times a night to uriante or just cannot get back to sleep. I was give trasadone sP. but it did not do the trick, so I do not take anything. I will get up in the middle of the night and eat ice cream. How crazy is that LOL
