The short answer is yes and most do better with a live person donating a portion. Definitely something I would discuss with your medical team. There are great articles from Mayo Clinic on this and Cleveland clinic if you'd like some more information.

That’s what I was told as well. I read that and asked my doc it can give you another 5-10 yrs. 20% no. He said I’m not ready even tho I’m stage 3 fibrosis. I just seen him yesterday 3/9/24. I take a lot of meds because I have 2 autoimmune s

My first DR said I am over the age and because my Immune system is attacking my liver it would do the same to the new one.

They said I’m not ready but I’m stage 3 fibrosis. The side affects and the way I feel have increased . My doctors are trying to get me in a clinical trial. I think I’m too far but who knows I see them them feb9. Hopefully I will have some answers
