I get mine through good rx and is much cheaper than going through my insurance.

Hi Pam, that is a big chunk of change. I only paid $91.00 for a 90 day supply of Urso. I live in California, don't know if that matters.

Hi Pam, that sure is a lot to pay for URSO. Are you on Medicare? Before I reached that age, I was paying the higher price. Now, for a 3 month supple it is under a hundred dollars. The price was doing a steady drop. Wish I could tell you why.

For treating Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC), besides Ursodiol (also known as ursodeoxycholic acid or UDCA), the following medications are available:

1. Obeticholic Acid (Ocaliva)
- Used in combination with UDCA for adults who have not responded well enough to UDCA, or alone for those who cannot tolerate UDCA.

- Works by decreasing bile production and increasing bile removal from the liver.

2. Fibrates:
- These include fenofibrate (TriCor), which helps lower cholesterol production in the liver and, when taken with UDCA, has been shown to help with PBC and associated symptoms like itching.
