Brain Fog

A myPBCteam Member asked a question 💭

I’ve been experiencing some brain fog and read that it can be a symptom of PBC. Has anyone else experienced brain fog with PBC?

Many suffer from this, myself included, but my wife updated my liver doctor and the Dr ordered lactulose. I had a reaction to lactulose and my Dr changed it to Xifaxan and it changed my life. Talk to YOUR liver PBC Dr about trying this

This is really frustrating for me. I’ve never experienced this to such a degree. I question if it’s brain fog or something worse creeping in

Yes most definitely. Talk with your doctor about xifaxan. It’s made a big difference for me.

Same here ladies!! It's embarrassing when you're in mid-conversation and you get tongue tied and it looks like you don't know what you're talking about..lol(not really funny). And yes remembering life events that family members bring up and you don't recall. It's crazy!! Much love to you all!!❤️❤️❤️

Oh yes I have it bad. Was thinking it was early dementia. Went to my neurologist he said it's the PBC causing it.
